Spanish translation
Hola!
I already posted on the old TRP1 forum to talk with Telkostrasz about translations. I'm native spanish, officer of a very large RP guild at Shen Dralar (PVPRP - ES), and the whole server is amazed with the addon. Congrats ![]() While we have the 50% of the translation already done, I have some doubts on how should I send you the data when it's finished: may I create a 'Base de datos' Module, with it's .TOC file, or should I send you the whole addon with the changes done to the english strings? As you prefer. I need just 2 weeks to test the translations and finish them. Then, we'll send it to you. If there's any issue regarding this translation, please, tell me and I'll consider it. Thank you very much for your time Telko. Klamydia Caballeros Imperiales Shen'Dralar (Es) |

RE: Spanish translation
Are you the guy who contact me in-game several weeks ago ? If that was the case, I'm sorry I accidentaly remove you from my list.
![]() This is what I absolutely need : - The translation file : totalRP2_Localisation.lua - The exact wow langages names in spanish (common, orcish ...etc) And optionaly for the data base : - totalRP2_DataBase_Auras, totalRP2_DataBase_Documents, totalRP2_DataBase_Objets, totalRP2_DataBase_Quests - (NOT "Magasins" and "Realiste", it's not implemented) And optionaly for the guidebook : - totalRP2_Guide_Pages Then I'll create a new client for the spanish version and I'll release it here and on curse.

RE: Spanish translation
Hey Telko, yes I am
![]() I tried to talk with you when I began the translation of TRP1 (so late in the wotlk, I think). But you told me to wait for the TRP2 version, and that's what I did haha Sadly, I had too much work to do it since the Cata release, but now that I have some spare time, I can do it, and I've done it, at least, by 50%. Some people are helping me with this and, just to show you how the people are about your addon, take a look at this: http://eu.battle.net/wow/es/forum/topic/1622863114 Eristoff is not me: I didn't even know him before!! And it's not just the topic: it's the sticky ![]() So, hands on now, we'll follow your indications and send it on two weeks more or less, to let us test everything. Bonsoir! |

RE: Spanish translation
Hi Telko.
We've finished the first draft of the localisation.lua file, and the database. We're almost there I've left for this week the Handbook translation, as it's the huge file we gotta solve, but maybe, when the final sentences are stablished, to avoid different names usage. We have some issues related to the translation I'd like to share with you. I just enumerate them to make it easy for you to answer. 1. The creations window has the title in french. We've looked for it in localisation.lua, but all 'creations' are correctly translated. 2. Happens the same in the directory, were I get the string ' sur ' for the top text: 'Characters: 99 sur 99'. 3. Regarding the quests database, we have some issues regarding the emotes that may switch actions. (as /wave) so many people cannot go further on the reference quests. We translated it, through the database to make it 'emote' in spanish 'saluda'. The emote is like 'Saludas con la mano a [target]'. Others read 'Klamydia saluda con la mano a [target]'. So, 'saluda' would be the key word, but it's not working. Is there any extra procedure for the emotes switching actions? When we make it switch with '/s hola' it works nice, but not with any emote. 4. We have seen some differences between the characters on the reference quests, in english and french. ¿Which of both versions is the one that you would insert in spanish? As we don't know why they are different, maybe one of both would be better. (Gryshka or Sana) Sorry Telko, I'm sure we have more issues I don't remember right now (I wrote down some of them, not all), I'd really appreciate your infinite patience on this ![]() Thanks again |

RE: Spanish translation
Okay !
1 & 2) Thanks, I correct that. (you won't have to correct it yourself after) 3) You mustn't translate the emotes. Even on a non-english client, the client translate the emote before he send it to te server. ^^ 4) Use the english version.

RE: Spanish translation
1 & 2 Thank you very much ^^
3. Maybe I didn't explain myself as good as I wanted: firstly, for the quest commands (/say, /listen, /look), there's no problem at all: we switch them easily via the shortcuts quest bar, or via the emote, either in english or spanish (/hablar, /mirar, etc.). But for the /search emote there are some problems. In fact, we can't find a relative emotion in spanish, because '/buscar' doesn't activate it (the client displays different messages for /search, that works, and for /buscar). But this is not a major issue we can explain it in the button tooltip ![]() For the reference quest issue, we've tried several ways, typing /wave, wave, /saludar, /saludo, etc etc.... and no one worked we are looking your quests continuously to check if we missed something or we failed anything, but we cannot go beyond that step, where we must '/saludar' or '/wave' stephen Ryback/Lomocenteno to make him distract the girl with the stolen love letter. In a long term, there's an issue related to the client: the NPCs. Here in Spain, there's many people using the english client instead of the spanish. That's a headache, because as well as many other NPCs, some of them have the name translated: Stephen Ryback, is called in Spanish Stephen Lomocenteno (This is a long tradition in Spain RP, where, for instance, Frodo Bolsón was living in La Comarca). That issue makes a quest using translated names, impossible to play for gamers with the english client. I guess, as I am developer too, that this issue is not fixable by now, but if you imagine a way to solve this the next months, it would be a very appreciated effort by the spanish roleplay community. EDIT: sorry: PNJs = NPCs lol 4. We will. Thanks

RE: Spanish translation
There is a way, using the npc id (which doesn't change) instead of the name. I'll try to find out how implement that.

RE: Spanish translation
Hi Telko.
The translation has been finished, tested and corrected many times to leave it as perfect as we could. ![]() I don't want to post my email here, nor to ask you to post yours, so please, tell me the best way to send you the .zip file (I could connect today at Kirin Tor, look for you and then ask you for your email or a place where I could send you everything). We have some more issues we'd like to point out for the next releases: 1. At the states creation window, the string 'Type', that stands for 'Type : Normal' etc, is not translatable, such as happened with 'Créations' and ' sur '. 2. At the quest log, appears a strange word (it appeared before I started the translation) above the quest filtering selectbox. It's in spanish, and it's 'Pantalla' (maybe 'screen' in english). I didn't translate that. In spanish looks weird, as there should be something like 'filters' or whatever. The issue stands for the authomatic translation it has. 3. The companions feature seems to not work properly: we just can customize mounts (not all: magic carpet cannot): companions and pets doesn't appear as customized at all (the tooltips doesn't appear for me nor for the others). I just insert this here as I don't know whether it's a locale bug or not. 4. Maybe there are more issues related to the translation, but they could be recovered from our realm mates and then correct them in the nexts versions. 5. Once you have my email, feel free to send me all localisation strings you'd like to complete the new features, and release all language versions together ^^ Another point I liked to talk with you, was the assistance forum. As it's going to be set in spanish, I could help you assisting the people on this forum posting in spanish. Thanks for everything Telko I wait for your answer Salute! |

RE: Spanish translation
Hey Telko, I use Skype (JuanmaSEO) and Google Talk (the same). If you want to tell me something important, almost every night I connect at Shen'Dralar with Klamydia, and if I'm not, you can ask any Caballeros Imperiales officer to tell me anything.
You got attached the new files to the post. I think it'd be better as I can tell some friends of my guild and realm to come here to download the spanish alpha version ![]() Once again, thanks for this amazing addon, /clap from my side, Rurgo Puñomartillo's side, and all the testers. We've done it with a lot of illusion. Keep off the arcane magic dude!
